Supporting Financial Literacy In Northern Illinois

The need to teach children and adults about money, credit and other aspects of personal money management has never been greater. In our continuing effort to enhance our communities, Waukegan Savings Bank has partnered with the Illinois Council on Economic Education, American Bankers Association, the FDIC, the Illinois Bankers Association, and the Federal Reserve to develop new financial literacy programs. We are proud to offer these presentations to all school ages and adults.

Money Smart Programs

Waukegan Savings Bank continues to work closely with many organizations to prepare special programs for MoneySmart Weeksm. These programs are designed to help all ages learn more about money management and financial literacy.  WSB is a significant partner in preparing and presenting these programs.

Teach Children to Save

The Teach Children to Save program offers a special opportunity for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade to learn the financial basics they will need to become responsible adults. This program has a proven track record and provides age-appropriate lessons.

Get Smart About Credit

Get Smart About Credit is an innovative, effective and interactive program created for high school students that provides much-needed credit education. It helps to put young adults on the right financial track for a healthy credit future.
