Waukegan Savings Bank Remote Deposit is a service that allows you to scan and deposit checks into your WSB business checking account without leaving your office.
Who should use Waukegan Savings Bank Remote Deposit?
We recommend our Remote Deposit for customers seeking to gain efficiency, consolidate banking relationships, extend the deposit day, or improve recordkeeping and utilize image retention of deposited checks.
How does it work?
A scanner is installed at your business on your PC. Your user information will then be set up in the WSB Remote Deposit system. You will log in to the system and scan your checks, capturing the check information. You will have an image of the check right away. After approval, you can submit the deposit to us. Checks are processed same day if scanned Monday - Friday before 6 p.m. CT.
What equipment is needed?
You will choose either a single-feed (for small numbers of checks) or a multi-feed scanner. You will also need a computer with an Internet connection and Business Online Banking access.
How long will it take to set up?
After all the paperwork is completed, you will receive your scanner within a few days. Set up only takes minutes!
Does Waukegan Savings Bank install the product?
Yes! A WSB small business specialist will visit your business and set up your Remote Deposit software with you.
Can traveler's checks be scanned?
Yes. All types of checks can be sent via Remote Deposit as long as they are payable in U.S. Dollars and drawn on banks in the United States.
Can money orders be scanned?
Yes, however, some money orders do not produce clear scans and may be rejected as you are scanning. If this happens, you must go through normal deposit channels.
Can multiple accounts be scanned at a single location?
Yes. Deposit account numbers are configured during implementation. When a deposit is created, you select the deposit account from a list.
Can multiple deposits be transmitted each day?
Yes. Generally, we encourage you to transmit deposits when they are complete.
What is the maximum number of checks that can be deposited in a single deposit?
There is no maximum, but try batching large deposits in groups of 50 checks in order to keep the balancing process simple.
